GIRL'S CHILD EDUCATION ON ADVOCACY

A human right advocacy group, Voice to the People (V2P) project has advocated for female-child education in Anambra State and by extension, Nigeria, insisting that girl child education is not negotiable in the face of the onslaught of the effect of globalization and its impacts in controlling the economic opportunities needed for sustainable living.

The group however commended Pakistani girls’ education campaigner, Malala Yousafzai, who recently visited Nigeria for her birthday and to add a voice to the movement demanding more efforts from the Federal Government and the international community to bring back the abducted Chibok girls.

V2P partners, who were in Awka, Anambra State for a 3-day capacity-strengthening workshop, lent their voice to the plight of the kidnapped Chibok girls and urged the Federal Government to expedite action in ensuring that the girls are released.
